It hasn’t been your typical Cape Town winter so a wet and windy August was to be expected and accepted. The first few days of Spring have been sunny and mild, so HAPPY SPRING DAY everyone!
On Monday all the children in Warrick’s school were asked to wear “spring hats”. Warrick wore a little green number that we all put together. We bought a cardboard party hat and plastered it with wood glue and bog roll. We then painted it green and attached eggshells, a chick in a nest, 
some ivy and Woolies flowers. Dylan’s play school didn’t have anything planned which was a relief since all our time went into Warrick’s hat. They both had fun posing for photos in the morning. Ali says that Warrick’s hat was definitely one of the best ones there. I’m glad to hear my Sunday afternoon didn’t go to waste.
Anyway hopefully we have broken Winters back, I look forward to warmer days and swimming with the boys soon, well soonish.
