December 2014

This year we squeezed it all in.  On the 17th of December we packed up the car, with a dog this time, and drove to Plett.  The Hoals had already been in Plett for a couple of days and were eagerly awaiting our arrival 😉 .  It was great to see them and nice to have a bit of an overlap so that we and the cousins could bond.

Ross and family also arrived in time for us all to have an overlap of a couple of days.  This is the first time, disgraceful, that we have all been together in Plett. We really enjoyed everyone’s company and hope it isn’t too long before we can do the same again.

We spent a lovely Xmas in Plett with Mom, Dad, Ross, Alida and cousins before driving to Durban on Boxing day.

After over-nighting in East London we arrived in Gilletts around noon on the 27th.  It was great to see everyone again and good to be out of the car.  Boris didn’t seem to bothered by the chickens which was also a good thing.

We really appreciate the effort Mike made to come out for the second time in 7 months.  Good to have shared this holioday with you and we hope you are able to come out again for 2015.

This year Warrick, James, Nicolas and Greg slept in their new 10 man or 20 boy tent/pool.  Admittedly Greg didn’t sleep in the tent every night but just one night with the boys was a great effort.
